A wild night at Sandia

Back at the home track this weekend. Friday night my car was running a bit loose and I ended up finishing 6th in the Main event.

Saturday was a whole different story. The races started off with the Bandolero event and with the #17 of Shane Skaggs plagued with mechanical issues all night I was able to win both the heat race and the main event by a half lap.

I started off 3rd in the in the 2nd Heat for the Legend race and right after we went green the front cars got loose and hit the wall, the back cars where unable to slow or avoid and the #21 of Kevin Baccari hit the back tire of the #95 of Allen Gutierrez rolling the #21 nose to tail three times down the front stretch. Everyone was ok and after 4 cars were unable to continue and breif red flag. The race started again. I ended up finishing 3rd in the Heat. The main event I started off in the 11th position and unfortunately shortly after the races started we had another car the #63 of Justin Webber hit the fence and roll. He is ok as well, but there was a lot of hard racing and position changing. I ended up finishing 4th in the main event. When I got back to the pits my car looked like I was in a demolition derby rather than a race. Major repairs have to get done in order to make it to Texas Motor Speedway by Thursday!
